Genesis
Meaning: Begining
Author: There is much debate over the subject of whom is the author of genesis but most theologions agree that moses wrote this book.
Genesis is split into two main parts which are chapters 1-11 which covers the world and genesis 12-50 which covers " Toledoth" which means these are the gererations of....... " Genesis is part of the first five books of the bible or pentateuch. A great way to get a quick and interesting summary of genesis is to look at the Sistine chapel ceiling in Italy but if you aren't in Italy at the moment look up Khan academys Sistine chapel lesson which gives you a full look at the ceiling and its magnificent art.
